I have been all over Ontario and sampled almost everything it had in the line of Japanese cuisine. From Thunder Bay to Ottawa to Windsor. While I enjoyed majority of them I never was more surprised than a little hole in the wall called Walkerton Sushi. You would drive right by it if you weren't already looking for it. When I walked in I was met with a pleasant atmosphere and the Friendliest staff that looked after my needs from start to finish. It pains me to write this review because I want it to myself but I think this diamond in the rough deserves the recognition.
Please enjoy.... You won't be disappointed!
Thank you Walkerton Sushi!

Food is excellent..
... but Service is disappointing. Called early on a Friday night had a hard time getting through only to be told at 6pm that they couldn't fulfill
my order before they closed at 9pm. Decided on Saturday to give it another try.. started calling 5pm and as of an hour later still getting the busy tone, had a friend go into the restaurant to place the order and we currently have a 2 hour wait. When my friend told them I had been calling for the last hour their response was "oh". Sadly this isn't the first time seems as though every time we order it's this way. Disappointing -

Some good dishes but leave more to be desired. Great Seaweed Salad Calamari and shrimp tempura. Friendly staff and service. But my biggest complaint is the size of the sushi rolls. Massive can't fit in your mouth pieces, and bland. If they cut out half the rice and let their ingredients do the talking they would be much more enjoyable. Have returned a few times since new ownership and just can't justify the price for the quality of food. Their best dishes are their Korean meals. Great in a fix if your craving sushi and can't make it to the city. But was disappointed over all with the lack of variety in seafood and freshness of the fish.

Sushi restaurant situated in a plaza. Great hospitality from the smiling sushi chef to the perky waitress. Decor with a mixture of Chinese; Korean prints and signs. Tasty seaweed salad. The down fall of this place is just the one; and that one thing is huge. Their sushi. Yup, not a good thing if you're a sushi restaurant and your main attraction, sushi, is not even at par with taste and presentation.
We ordered the boat, 50 pieces of sushi. Bland taste, not very fresh salmon and the amount of rice underneath the sushi (nigiri) was double than what it should be! The maki rolls (12 pieces) in the middle of boat, were of only cucumber and bits of avocado with tons of rice.
Not coming back here. Bland taste, too much rice on the sushi and a bit pricey for what one gets.
We came here from a recommendation.

Excellent food! We have eaten here several times. Everything made fresh to order and well worth any wait. We recommend K4 and K5. Spicy Chicken Dinner is good too. Gyoza dumpling and calamari appetizers are tasty.
